Ooh-la-la! I remember those oysters! I want those oysters. (But in defense of dessert baking, I must say that our French friends express ardent admiration of homemade American cookies…)

Wow! Gorgeous! Not only are you in Paris at Christmas, you get to avoid down sides of this holiday. Have fun, and Doris, I am relying on your sage advice that French women do not make their own desserts and simply buy them. Works for me. Have fun and Merry Christmas.

JUST YESTERDAY, Sharon, I had an elegant lunch with a Parisian girlfriend, at which I asked, “Do you ever make dessert?” Never! She declared. It always comes from the trateur.

Stay the course! (Especially at the holidays.)

Thank you! Merci!! Grazie for this glimpse into Paris at Christmas time!! What a vicarious thrill!!
And here we are in Sandpoint, after a fairly snowless Fall, suddenly with snow-laden trees, almost a foot of snow on the ground, white, icy roads!! Have a wonderful holiday

I have seen the Sandpoint snow pictures. I think we will take the rain in Paris, thank you very much, but wish you a very merry Christmas amidst all that white.

I’m all in for the purple camel if still available….!! Your Christmas adventures are so much more interesting than ours, which currently involve opening yet another mystery box to determine which of our (mostly expendable) belongings are packed in yet another tree’s worth of paper. Oh joy!! Leaving Friday for Xmas with friends in Stamford – we are very ready for the break!! Merry merry to you both. Loving Partout!!

So I get to avoid the rain in Paris but see the shops and markets and windows anyway! An excellent gift from dear friends. Many thanks and enjoy the holidays!!

I’m delighted Ladd wants to come along. We cannot unilaterally opt people in, but I sent him an invitation at this address, and he should be able to opt himself in. Anyone interested can also click on “Subscribe” (under the picture of us at our caravan) and just fill in their email to get all the blogs directly. Cheerio and merry merry.

You would LOVE this place at Christmas, Nancy! And much less snow than I see on your deck in Sandpoint.
